a reading from the book of Genesis the Lord God said it is not good for the man to be alone I will make a suitable partner for him so the Lord God formed out of the ground various wild animals and various birds of the air and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them whatever the man called each of them would be its name the man gave names to all the cattle all the birds of the air and all wild animals but none proved to be the suitable partner for the man so the Lord God cast a deep sleep on the man and while he was asleep he took out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh the Lord God then built up into a woman the rib that he had taken from the man when it brought her to the man the man said this one at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh this one shall be called woman for out of her man this one has been taken that is why a man leaves his father and his mother and Kings to his wife and the two of them become one flesh the word of the Lord reading from the letter to the Hebrews brothers and sisters he for a little while was made lower than the angels that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone for it was fitting that he for whom and through whom all things exist in bringing many children to the should make the leader of your salvation perfect through suffering he who consecrates and those who are being consecrated all have one origin therefore he's not ashamed to call them brother the word of the Lord
ஆதியாகமம் புத்தகத்தில் இருந்து ஒரு வாசகம், மனிதன் தனிமையில் இருப்பது நல்லதல்ல என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொன்னார்,
நான் அவருக்கு பொருத்தமான துணையை உருவாக்குவேன் அதனால் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் தரையில் இருந்து பல்வேறு காட்டு விலங்குகள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு வான் பறவைகளை உருவாக்கினார்.
மனிதன் அவற்றை என்ன அழைப்பான் என்று பார்க்க அவை ஒவ்வொன்றையும் மனிதன் அழைத்தான் அதன் பெயராக மனிதன் அனைத்து கால்நடைகளுக்கும் அனைத்து வான் பறவைகள் மற்றும் அனைத்து காட்டு விலங்குகளுக்கும் பெயர்களை வைத்தான்,
ஆனால் அவை எதுவும் பொருத்தமானதாக நிரூபிக்கப்படவில்லை. மனிதன் அதனால் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் அந்த மனிதனின் மீது ஆழ்ந்த உறக்கத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்,
அவர் தூங்கும்போது அவனுடைய விலா எலும்பில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து அந்த இடத்தை மாமிசத்தால் மூடினார், பின்னர் அந்த மனிதனிடமிருந்து எடுத்த விலா எலும்பை ஒரு பெண்ணுக்குக் கட்டினார். கடைசியில் இது என் எலும்பின் எலும்பும்,
என் சதையின் சதையும் என்று அந்த மனிதன் சொன்ன மனிதனிடம் அது அவளைக் கொண்டு சென்றது.அதனால்தான் ஒரு மனிதன் தன் தந்தையையும் தாயையும் அரசர்களையும் தன் மனைவியிடம் விட்டுச் செல்கிறான்,
அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஒரே மாம்சமாகி, எபிரேய சகோதர சகோதரிகளுக்கு எழுதிய கடிதத்திலிருந்து கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைப் படித்து அவர் சிறிது காலம் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார். தேவ தூதர்கள் கடவுளின் அருளால் அவர் அனைவருக்கும் மரணத்தை சுவைக்க வேண்டும்,
ஏனென்றால் யாருக்காக, யாரால் பல குழந்தைகளைக் கொண்டுவருகிறதோ, அவர் உங்கள் இரட்சிப்பின் தலைவரை துன்பத்தின் மூலம் அர்ப்பணிப்பவரும், இருப்பவர்களும் பரிபூரணமாக்குவது பொருத்தமானது. புனிதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அனைவருக்கும் ஒரே தோற்றம் உள்ளது, எனவே அவர்களை இறைவனின் வார்த்தை என்று அழைக்க அவர் வெட்கப்படவில்லைகர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்று அவர்களை சகோதரர் என்று அழைக்க வெட்கப்படவில்லைகர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்று அவர்களை சகோதரர் என்று அழைக்க வெட்கப்படவில்லைகர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்று அவர்களை சகோதரர் என்று அழைக்க வெட்கப்படவில்லைகர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்று அவர்களை சகோதரர் என்று அழைக்க வெட்கப்படவில்லை
